The surprise of the season! No ponding was observed here last
season, likely because the area was deep-tilled prior to going
fallow. But no such tilling was done this season which allowed
the default hardpan characteristics to remain in place which ponds
quite nicely. :-)

There are two large vernal pools on the former county parcel which
are the champion ponders of the property. After large rainstorms,
these two adjacent pools merge into
