These digital photographs were taken by the webmaster while on a walking
loop around the outside of the property. You can click on each inline
image to display a 4 megapixel maximum resolution version.
Looking southwest from the end of Greenleaf Lane.
Looking west from the corner of the property near the intersection of Graham & Kenilworth.
Looking northwest from atop the Wintersburg Channel.
Looking northeast back towards Graham.
Does anybody know the story behind this small cross adjacent to the Wintersburg
Channel between Graham and the knoll? When I was out walking on New
Year's Day, somebody had placed fresh flowers here. There are some
dried flower remains to the right of the cross in this picture.
Looking southwest down the Wintersburg Channel. The knoll is visible beyond the bushes adjacent to the channel.
The knoll adjacent to the Slater Pump Station bridge is the highest part
of the property. This view is looking northeast towards Graham.
Looking northwest from the knoll. You can see the roofs of the
houses in the Sandover development along the left side of the hill in the
hi-res picture.
Looking southwest from the knoll.
Looking northwest at what I believe is the county/city boundary line. The
left side of the fence is County of Orange; the right side is City of Huntington
Beach. Shea alternatives 6 & 7 will built a few homes on the county
portion, but alternatives 8 & 9 keep all houses on just the city portion.
Looking northeast from the southwestern boundary corner of the property.
The Slater Pump Station outflow as viewed from the bridge adjacent to the knoll.
The Slater Pump Station intake area where the Slater Channel intersects the Wintersburg
Channel. This is where the Parkside urban runoff will be directed.
The BIG picture, taken subsequently on March 3, 2002. This is a 180-degree
composite panorama shot, so the "two" channels you see are really just the
one Wintersburg Channel.
