Shea Parkside Development Proposal
Last updated August 18, 2002
Summary
The original 1997 EIR proposed 5 alternatives, with the primary one
calling for 201 homes on top of approximately 1.5 feet of fill. The
June 2000 FEMA flood plain adjustments invalidated the original 1997 plan
(too vulnerable to flooding), and so the 2001 EIR revision was done calling
for the following alternatives:
- Alternative 6 - 171 homes on top of approximately 11 feet of fill
in order to meet the June 2000 FEMA specs.
- Alternative 7 - 171 homes on top of approximately 5.5 feet of fill
if Shea can convince FEMA of a reduced flood threat.
- Alternative 8 - 161 homes on top of approximately 11 feet of fill
in order to meet the June 2000 FEMA specs.
- Alternative 9 - 161 homes on top of approximately 5.5 feet of fill
if Shea can convince FEMA of a reduced flood threat.
